The proprietors of our company are Alan and Julian Phillips. Alan and his late wife Celia operated coach holidays throughout the UK and Europe from 1980. Their son, Julian and his wife Gemma joined the company in 2015. Julian or Alan will be acting as tour driver/courier when you choose to travel with us. Gemma is responsible for the administration side of the business and it is most likely her voice that you will hear when you phone us. We also welcomed our part-time minibus driver, Brian, to the company in early 2025.
The emphasis of our tours, both coach holidays and day excursions, is quiet, relaxing, and scenic, the journey being as enjoyable as the destination. An informative commentary is given on all journeys, no music or videos are played on board.
The vehicle you will be travelling on is the most up-to-date in respect of comfort, safety and reduced carbon emissions. It is British built and was brand new in October 2023. The carbon footprint per passenger on our coach is one ninth of that per passenger on an aircraft. All 49 seats recline and have individually-controlled air conditioning and lighting, as well as armrests and fold-down tables. Most seats also have footrests. There is a toilet and cold drinks are available from the on-board fridge.
As coach tour operators our programme of holidays, day excursions and European coach holidays is changed annually, but most destinations are repeated, within two to three years. The hotels are carefully selected by the Phillips family, and equally the itineraries are planned with the utmost care.
